From Gresham, Oregon, Mexican-American rapper, singer, producer, multi-instrumentalists, and songwriter Jaden Macedonio Bales, also known as j mac, made his music debut at 17 years old. On May 13th he released his debut album MACEDONIO. Following this release he would form the group scumbag where they would release increasingly experimental music. j mac pours all of himself into his music, which allows listeners to relate immediately and gravitate towards. Jaden writes however he feels, and only writes about situations in which he has personally experienced; moreover, this brings a raw feeling of honesty and emotion to the music. As he may be considered a rapper, his first love was 80's rock and guitar solos, but would soon be fusion jazz and sax solos. First playing guitar at age 10, j mac's earliest songs were derived. All songs are written, arranged, and produced entirely by himself. Jaden claims he will always choose to be a real artist over a perfect artist. j mac's music is what truth sounds like.
